Several city council members are calling for a hearing on the mental health challenges faced by Chicago Police officers — after a fourth officer dies by suicide, this year alone. Police Superintendent David Brown, though, has defended canceling days off for officers during the violent summer months — and says his officers are accessing mental health resources.
