Rarely shown or talked about are the silent struggles that some mothers have with maternal mental health disorders, mood changes, anxiety and/or depression. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, 15% to 20% of women experience significant symptoms of depression or anxiety during or shortly after pregnancy.
