Some residents want six books banned, other residents oppose
Glen Ridge Public Library director Tina Marie Doody says she didn’t expect to find herself at the center of a book banning controversy, but the library now joins the ranks of several across the state answering for its literary selections. Six books were challenged by local residents — books that largely deal with issues related to LGBTQ+ identity and have been the subject of other attempted bans.
