Raising Crane

Special | 28m

This 1988 documentary researches endangered cranes and the conservation of their habitats.

They were once called spirit gods, rising from the marshes. In many cultures, cranes are sacred: a link not only to the wild, but to the spiritual forces which created and sustained the natural world. But not all humans share this profound respect. Today, cranes are one of the most endangered families of birds on Earth.
